Me too L but you already know that. I not only don't need it I dislike it bigly. I enter quietly and leave quietly wishing to not disturb the waters or others. It works better for me that way. Thank you for your reply! :)
Do you think it really goes all the way back to that L? We weren't shipped off to military schools or finishing schools. Of course I have no idea what it would be like to be very wealthy and have that be part of the norm. Young ladies going to finishing schools and young men going to prep schools and young ladies being debutantes. I might be an entirely different person. I will never know. Thank you for your reply! :)
I certainly think that it wouldn't be out of the realm of things for a child to think that a parent didn't want them around if they shipped their kids off to some boarding school. His father was raised by by a European German father and Germans aren't know for their outward affection. His mother seems as though she may have been cowed by her husband. Very little is heard about her.
I've been accused of "sneaking out" if I don't announce to literally everybody there that I am leaving the gathering. I can't help it that they didn't notice, because I'm not gregarious and loud.
