To our parents, our teachers, our neighbors, potential mates, potential employers.
Some lie about the quality of the merchandise they have to sell. Some don't. Some will sell anything to anyone if the price is right. Some won't.
But make no mistake. You are selling yourself every time you open your mouth by what you to say and to whom. You might not have any buyers but you will keep trying to sell in spite of it.
If you sell too much of yourself you will eventually have nothing left. There are some folks like that. The alcoholics and the drug addicts who have reached the bottom. They emptied themselves of their worth and realize they are not marketable any longer.
