Why are there so many conservative heartthrobs on here?

What is a "conservative heartthrob" and, while we're on the subject, why are there so many liberal headcases on here?  :-)

There aren't that many...they just stand out on account of how ridiculous are the things they say.

Conservatives generally don't complain about the disparity whereas liberals generally do. (Hint: that might be because liberals like to label everyone not them as 'conservative.')

Lots of liberals here, no doubt. They stand out too, just not for being heartthrobs :-)

Conservatives complain about the disparity all the time. Ask them about the media, or the university, or major cities, or the northeast, or the Great Lakes region, or the west, or entertainment, or any non-Baptist Christian traditions...etc.

There's one thing conservatives have in common with liberals: The poor dears are so super oppressed by the big bad system.

1) I still uncertain about the use of the term 'heartthrobs' in this context.

2) The media, the university, major cities, and the northeast (etc.) are institutions/locations. They're not people with beliefs which set them apart as belong to X or Y group.  Conservatives WILL complain about the liberal infestation of INSTITUTIONS, but generally not about a disparity among individuals outside that specific context.

3) Agreed in full. So are libertarians, fat kids, skinny kids, kids who climb on rocks... :-)  If we could ever get people to see the true threat(s) to life and liberty, all the squabbles about superficial political differences would evaporate.  In my experience people of (ostensibly) widely varying political weltanschauungs want the same things; peace on earth, prosperity for all, good healthcare, freedom, etc.  They only disagree about how best to obtain them.
