The Russian hacker idea was put forth only by hillary's co-conspirators to distract from her rigging of the primaries. The only thing ever found that was russian is that some of the leaked emails were converted to a pdf format on a computer with a russian operating system before being posted online. These emails were available untouched on wikileaks prior to that, however, so the only tie to russia was that someone with a russian operating system took them from wikileaks and converted them to pdf before posting them elsewhere. For clarity, I can install a russian operating system on a computer and convert some documents to pdf if given 2 hours of time so it is certainly not proof that even a russian person did this small part.
When there are claims that russians or north koreans or any other state has hacked, those claims are generally bogus unless someone has taken responsibility. It is in fact much easier to hide an identity than to do some of these hacks. With state help it would be trivial to be untraceable. You will notice that the government has never actually accused russia of any of these hacks, only the media has and has referenced only unnamed officials. Given that wikileaks has pristine copies of so much data that they can verify to the standard of being accepted as evidence in court, it is far more likely that an insider has taken that data, than that data was taken through some sort of russian cyber attack.
Hillary's dnc is very much taking advantage of how most people do not understand computer security and what type of data is actually being released. Some certainly could be taken remotely by russians or anyone else, but some would be almost impossible to acquire without local access to the hard disk.
One of the known hackers is romanian with no ties whatsoever to russians, and who also hacked bush.
