Once upon a time in the United States of America CITIZENS used to be allowed to say what they think without being TARGETED/PUNISHED. True?

How many countries exist today where that is true? Where an inane insane wackadoodle crackpot despot dictator doesn't target you for extinction or punishment by simply speaking up and sharing your thoughts?

England? Canada? Australia? France? Germany? Is it still safe to say what you think in those countries without being maligned attacked denigrated threatened insulted? Must be nice to live in a country like that.

We used to enjoy that privilege in the United States of America. We didn't know it had a shelf life a "use by" date or "discard by" date or a drop dead date. SIGH.
