Hair straightening products contain chemicals which I suspect would damage hair after a while.  I don't, and have never, straightened my hair, so I'm just guessing.  Happy Tuesday. :)

I have very straight hair L and I've always YEARNED for naturally curly hair. I got it once for a short time. In 2008 when I had cancer and became bald after the chemo ended and my hair grew back it GREW BACK CURLY! I thought wow! But it only lasted a few months. After awhile the hair grew in straight. I don't understand WHY anyone with curly hair would want to uncurly it. And whenever someone says she hates her curly hair I wanna smack her! I guess it's human nature to want what we don't have. Thank you for your reply L! :)

Funny what chemo does to your hair.  Mine is wavy, but in the summer, when it's more humid, it gets wavier.  I like it this way - all I have to do in the morning is run my fingers through it and off I go.

I'll tell ya honey I have never envied or been jealous of anyone for any reason. I think that emotion only damages the one who feels it so I don't see any point in it. HOWEVER if I were ever going to envy anyone for anything it would definitely be for naturally curly hair I have lost count of the gals I've told "if you ever tire of your hair let me know. I WANT IT". And sometimes if a curly-haired gal has the nerve to complain about it I tell her "I'm gonna smack you". Now of course I never do and I'm kinda sorta joking  when I say it and they always chuckle but in truth it annoys me! Something I'd LOVE to have they complain about? Sheesh! Our ex-daughter-in-law had the most BEAUTIFUL wavy hair you've ever seen. She always looked like an angel. Jim is a retired hair stylist and he'd do her hair on occasion. He told me in all his years as a hairstylist(45) she had the MOST PERFECTLY BEAUTIFUL NATURALLY WAVY hair of anyone he ever encountered. I agree. She always enjoyed it.  She never moaned about it. I'm glad. I wouldn't have wanted to get on her wrong side by "smacking" her! Thank you for your reply! :) This post was edited by RosieG at July 24, 2019 8:37 AM MDT

My hair has actually gotten wavier as I've gotten older.  It also helps that I keep it pretty short which encourages the waves because long hair pulls them down.  I'm just happy at this point that it's on the top of my head. :)
