Too bad the Constitution doesn't stipulate who has a right to own a gun and who shouldn't be allowed to get anywhere near one. Right?

It should be illegal to let crazy wackadoodles own them or thugs or terrorists. But the NRA sez anyone who wnats a gun has a Constitutional RIGHT to have a gun. The more the merriers.

I mean just think of what our country would be without all these nutjobs with guns who like to show others who's boss? We would not have the distinction of being the most gun-crazy country in the world. Wouldja really wanna give up that distinction?

We would be in the news every day for another gun-related slaughter/massacre. Who could stand THAT?

The truth that they thought was SELF-EVIDENT, meaning the ability to discern stupid from non- was lost on The Founding Fathers apparently.

They never accounted for our devolvement concerning common sense issues like who should carry an object that when mishandled, could ruin the futures of many a human.   They never realized just how self-destructive we really are as a tribe.

Too bad they weren't like Nostradamus. If they could only have foreseen the abomination with which we live today they would have put in some safeguards. For instance stipulating that the "arms" would be muskets and nothing else. But who could have imagined this reality? Even the most creative inventive brilliant imagination would not have come up with a trump or the trumpettes. So we can wish they had put in guard rails but we can't fault them for not imagining how low and degrading and vile a future president would be or the millions of people who'd think that vile is wonderful. SIGH. We could use a do-over. Thank you for your reply Sharon.
