I believe GOD listens to me as attentively as HE does to any member of the clergy. Why wouldn't HE? Aren't we all HIS children?

That's why I don't see the need of a middleman to talk to God on my behalf.

The clergy is necessary. For marriages and christenings and comforting during times of sorrow. But confession? Seriously? Not my cuppa tea.
