Having an OPEN MIND all the time about everything is seriously flawed. What open mind do you have vis a vis Pedophiles?

Where is your open mind when it comes to act of EVIL CRUELTY CORRUPTION MURDER?

An open mind is wishy washy and useless if that it always its MO. You gotta stand up and be counted and STEADFAST about some things or what good are you to anyone?

Open mind about rape? Open mind about treason? Open mind about lying that grievously harms others? Open mind about anything all the time as long as it doesn't harm YOU? Really? What good are you to anyone if that is true? None.

HAving an open mind doesn't mean a person is stupid.  One Has to use common sense and judge the things they hear.  And open mind to different ways of doing things, different people, different ideas, and such is how we (as people) grow.  Sitting back and judging (as in forming an opinion or conclusion) things different that what you know or do as bad is having a closed mind.
When it comes to evil, only a fool would have an open mind.  Rape, murder, corruption, hatred, injustice... a "normal" person should detest these things, not desire to know more about them or try to condone them.  Unfortunately, many people don't detest this stuff, they admire it!  Once they condemned these behaviors/actions, now they excuse them (it's not that bad; we have to be  more tolerable).  What's bad becomes good.  What once was abhorrent becomes the "norm".
When it comes to evil (behavior and actions) one should have a closed mind!  Not only that, but they should speak out against it!  Evil is evil (now and forever).  Just because some put makeup on evil and call it acceptable doesn't make it good.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply Shuhak. At the age of 81 I have a VERY CLOSED MIND ON MANY THINGS. I have weighed them and found them wanting and not my cuppa tea. However those are specifics. Generically speaking my mind is open to any and all possibilities. I'm a fan of quantum physics so I think there are many more than 3 dimensions. There are also parallel universes. Maybe we all have doppelgangers living elsewhere. There are more things we don't know than we do. I am open to learning about them. Some shut the door on an afterlife or a Supreme Being. I don't shut the door on any possibility. That would be short-sighted as well as very arrogant. It would mean that I think I am so smart I know things I simply can't possibly know. I'm not that dumb. And so it goes.
