I have read about Jewish people born in the United States uprooting their families and moving to Israel to help build the nation. Would you?

I'm first generation American and I have never ever had any desire to move to Amasya, Armenia where my mom was born or Izmir, Turkey where my dad was born. I feel no emotional connection to either place. My country is the United States of America. I don't know if I'm atypical or typical.
