I do not know if this shoe fits. WHAT IF among your children there was one who was a bad seed? Would you still love him/her?

As much as you love your other children who always try to do the right thing, be good?

How can you love them equally when they are not remotely equal in character or actions?

That is hard. I love my daughter.  I think that is unconditional, but if she were a horrible person, I would have to cut ties.  I would pray for her, I would love her like I love all of humanity, but if she were just evil, I would write her OFF.

If she were a merciless killer?  I would not hesitate to call the police.  I think there is unconditional love, but there is also love that has to be earned.  My daughter has earned my love simply by being a good person and doing her best.  If she would fail then I would support. But if she were just rotten to the core, I would need to cut the ties.  Toxic people can poison you.

Otherwise, I would be there for the duration. Just being unpleasant is not a reason for a mother to not love a child. They have to be a total horror for that tie to be cut.
