Sociopaths have no feeling for others. Other mentally spiritually emotionally intellectually diminished homo saps are similarly afflicted. If they are born that way how can it be their fault?
What can we do to protect ourselves from them?
DON'T ELECT THEM TO REPRESENT YOU IN GUBMENT. DUH! NO-BRAINER!
You never know when that lowly Congressman or Senator will rise to the top and have control over much that will hurt you.
Moscow mitch that son of an itch is a classic example of evil elevated to a position of power. I expect if he could help being a son of an itch he would but he can't because he is an inhuman pretend person made of stone.
Better example than that is the inexperienced uneducated untested deadbeat don whose track record of lying and stiffing and sexually abusing women is legendary. You elected him to be president? What were you thinking? Well for those who voted for him you deserve what evil you get due to him. For the rest of us? We are in the wrong place at the wrong time and we are casualties of their utter lack of morality or guilt for what they elected. It happens.
