After a transplant some people have experienced extreme changes in interests abilities and even intelligence. Any idea why?

Is our unique individual "essence" in every part of our body? Could a person who had never touched a piano in his life have an operation involving receiving a body part of a concert pianist be able to play the piano as if he had studied for years? Apparently  yes.

If a brain could be transplanted would the recipient become the person from whom the brain was received? Intellectually for starters but also tastes in foods and music and literature and personality and morality and character?

Does every body part contain our "essence" and have a "memory"?
