As you get older does that number INCREASE or DECREASE? If you get numb too many times do you just burn out like a lightbulb and are good for nothing but the trash barrel...figuratively?
I'm still not numb. Exactly the opposite. I am frayed nerves and dreading the outcome.
I grew up in a world of chaos and disorder. I am used to life. However, I have never been as near to the brink of being enslaved, and being a prisoner in my own country. Any moment we can be invaded. Any moment we can become whatever TRUMP has planned for us.
This piece of garbage will take down this whole country before he surrenders to anyone. And that is not something I am numb to. I am hypervigilant waiting like the rest of us. Waiting and worrying. Every FREAKING DAY.
Some folks are just giving up. Wearing out. Wearing down. Caring less. Not me. I'm angrier more determined more energetic more aware of every minute of every day and I will not willingly turn away become indifferent give up give in roll over. I will go down fighting. I never let any outside influence affect what I say or do. I'm tougher than any of them and nothing scares me or silences me or intimidates me. Seriously. The others who are drifting off because they're bored with the entire steadfast jacka** tragedy are not my cuppa tea. The RESISTANCE that grows more determined are my people! Thank you for your reply Sharon.
