I had a reasonably decent semi-homemade dinner. Wanna hear about it?

Rao's tomato sauce Arrabiatta HOT
Mushrooms.
Greens like spinach and dandelion and salad kinds of greens in a container -- use about two handsful.
Clove garlic
Slices of onion
Olive Oil
Himalayan Sea Salt

and a good quick-cooking pasta like angel hair.

Boil water, In it throw the muschrooms and cook them into the water while it is boiling, about half way through, add the greens and then add the pasta (I used spaghetti) right into the mushroom water once it is boiling.  Have about 1/3 to 1/2 tsb of the salt to the water.

When the spaghetti is cooked, drain all of this but don't take it out of the pan.  Then add the Rao's Spaghetti sauce.  Add lots of Italian cheese too. I forgot that.  To top it.  Either Romano or Parmesian and NO fake crap cheese either.

Enjoy. It was really yummo.

It's does sound good.  I cooked penne pasta  with green beans and diced smoked sausage with a little olive oil and powdered garlic.  I put that in a casserole and topped with pepper jack cheese and put in the oven for the cheese to melt and drip down into the pasta.  It was excellent.

Like you I put the green beans and sausage in water and cooked with the pasta then drained.  Saved messing up two extra pots and lids.  ;) This post was edited by Thriftymaid at September 17, 2019 10:44 PM MDT
