Once upon a time in the long ago a composer wrote a very moving song (to me) about World War 1. George M. Cohan wrote "OVER THERE". Every time I hear it I tear up. My dad fought in WW 1. Maybe that's why.

Once upon a time the "Yanks" were welcomed with cheers "over there". Now? Well once upon a time was a long time ago. But memories of it still warm the heart.
Will we ever get back to whom we used to be when the world looked up to us and prayed for us and cheered us on?
