Remember the ancient TV SHOW PALLADIN? His calling card said HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL. That's chump's calling card too via surrogates. Didja No?

He dispatched his own personal Palladin Mike P to saudi arabia to get insructions on what the Saudi Crown Prince wants PALLADIN to do for him.

Now it ain't only he that can demand that kind of OBSEQUIOUS OBEDIENCE. Vlad PUtin gets it too and I'm thinking North Korea's Kim will get it too. I mean how many missile tests has he had done IN THE FACE of the chump who justified them? So for now our PALLADIN is at the service of The Saudi Crown Prince The Vlad of Russia and the Kim of North Korea. Rest assured whomever is next that the steadfat jacka** will service will also be a torturer murder barbaric savage despot dictator just like them. There is a certain consistency to chump. That I can tell you. Everyone sez so.

Can't torque my brain enough to work with the analogy.

The theme song began with "Have gun will travel, reads the card of a man
A knight without armor in a savage land...."

Trump is a "man" only in gender only---at most---and is as far from possessing any of the qualities of a "knight" as one could possibly be.

And Richard Boone as Paladin presented the character as an educated and class act.

A "Paladin" was a a knight renowned for heroism and chivalry, an advocate for good------charged to protect the weak, to bring justice to the unjust, and to vanquish evil from the darkest corners of the world.  (text in Italics courtesy of the World of Warcraft website

The noun paladin means a champion of a cause.  (The word has old-fashioned associations--- While the French word paladin means warrior, it was used specifically starting in the late 1500s to mean "one of the 12 knights in attendance on Charlemagne." As time went on, its meaning grew to include any chivalrous or heroic person.) (Internet)

Trump's calling card can only be one that has two words on it:  THE DESTRUCTOR

Ballad of Paladin Have Gun Will Travel---Lyrics

Have gun will travel, reads the card of a man
A knight without armor in a savage land
His fast gun hire, heeds the calling wind
A soldier of fortune, is a man called --- Pal-a- din
Paladin, Paladin, where do you roam
Paladin, Paladin, far, far from home
He travels on to where ever he must
A chess knight of silver is his badge of trust
There are campfire legends that the plainsmen sing
Of the man with the gun, of the man called --- Pal-a- din.

    roam
Paladin, Paladin, [F] far, far from [C] home
[F] Far from [C] home, [F] far from [C] home.

Thank you for a very thorough and informative reply. I see chump as a verbal gunslinger. He dispatched Mike P to Saudi Arabia to do what exactly? Await instructions whether or not to wage war against Iran. A hit man? I dunno. You took the question very literally which is fine with me. Your view and mine don't have to agree. I ask you answer and we move on. Happy Thursday tom! :) This post was edited by RosieG at September 20, 2019 5:38 AM MDT

No problem---analogies are never precise and there was nothing wrong with your premise---Trump is a verbal "gunslinger"---a minimal achievement at best in that context.

Have Gun Will Travel was on TV at a formative period in my life.

I sought to become like the Paladin character---a Renaissance man with the physical ability and mental toughness and the necessary knowledge and perspective---not to mention personal "honor"---to achieve justice.

(I have been called "professor"; referred to as an honorable man; and told I have brass "cajones" when challenging people on the injustices they perpetrate.)

I think you know by now that I admire you bigly. At first you intimidated the he** outta me but that's long gone. I KNOW that I can share with you whatever I think no matter how "out there" and you will not condescend nor make me feel like a dam* fool. So I trust you which gives me complete freedom to tell you what I think at all times. That's a very good feeling. I think we share enough of what matters that our conversations are worth the time. I learn more and you have the satisfaction of being an instrument of that. We both win! How is that not awesome? Thank you for your thoughtful reply tom! :) This post was edited by RosieG at September 20, 2019 10:58 AM MDT

I remember the first episode when I was a kid (around 13 years old).

The episode was almost over before I believed my dad that Richard Boone was the star---He just wasn't the typical good-looking star typical of the time.

Now he would be great in Desperado or Once upon a time in MEXICO.

He would have been great as a bandit.
