Cuz they don't like things the way they are. They are obscenely wealthy crackpots (one died recently) who wish to form the world in their image and so privatizing welfare suits them to a T as does redoing the Constitution to elevate their ultimate goal of ruling all forever more.
A wild assertion? Mebbe. Mebbe not. If you are a Heritage Foundation Paul Wyrick and Koch Bros fan you are in with them real tight and think trying to stop their takeover of the world is useless.
