Well same with how you think what you think. You have very strong beliefs and there is no room there for you to be accept anything that may challenge those beliefs. Without investigating at all you reject them out of hand. So you will never know what you don't know because you simply don't care to change.
Now there are others who are opposite. Mentally/intellectually open for business 24/7 they are curious about what's real and what isn't and always investigating researching comparing to try to find the truth. I know truth can be very scary. Sometimes it works against your beliefs.
I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles or the ball bounces. People can only be what they are and not what you wish they were.
