Nah, I got no interest in being a site owner. It will be only struggles, never able to satisfy all at once, being questioned the way you decide to run your place, etc. I think I'll enjoy the role as a critical member who can question things. Long live the site owners.

Someone met the reserve and won the auction at $10,000.  Wonder what he has planned for answerbag.com.

  • I'm thinking whoever bought it is not going to use it as a Q&A site.

Then why pay such amount of money for the site? Will they take over the information gathered by the old owners? That would be spooky.

  • None of the content was included in the sale. They bought a blank slate.

I see. Well, it's a lot of money I'd say. Then again, what do I know about this stuff. They must believe it's worth the amount. :-)

I think they originally wanted about $75K.  I couldn't imagine that!

Maybe that nice guy that started it the first time will do it again.  :)

  • Probably will be a porn site. I'll just buy glitterbag.com

That's a great name, Mr. B.  You should buy it and just hold on to it.  I did that once with a name I knew someone would eventually want,  I paid about $13/ year for it and after six or seven years someone contacted me and paid me a nice price for it.   Actually I used the name for a couple of months but never gave up the address.

I saw that, but the buyer must have meant it's worth the amount paid.

Looks like they do plan in such direction.

  • That's awesome. I look forward to its return. That was my first home and I kind of miss it.
