Per Conservative Larry Kudlow, it was JFK who pioneered supply side economics that Reagan adopted. A Democrat being credited for something that Republicans thought they owned? Isn't that amazing?

    Kudlow is full of sh....er, engaging in revisionist history.

    The (unsupported by empirical reality) belief that cutting taxes on the rich promotes economic growth long predates JFK.

    If you look at FDR's initial set of economic ideas upon taking office, they are almost indistinguishable from those of President Reagan's administration. And, of course, both of them ended up resorting to massive Keynesian stimulus measures to promote economic growth.

     Kudlow was promoting a book he wrote about JFK and Reagan. He didn't say JFK created/invented it. Just that he ran with it and Reagan copied him. He said that Reagan greatly admired JFK. He further said if JFK were alive today he would be a Republican advocating supply side economics. How much of that is true or false isn't  what caught my attention. The fact that a Republican would credit a Democrat with ANYTHING he thought was good was what did it. Mahalo for your reply OS and Happy Tuesday. Are you back home yet?
