You can be stupid, addicted to drugs or alcohol, disease-ridden and be a parent. All ya gotta do is follow a booty call. Don't that beat all? Animals in heat. Nothing admiral about that.
Why not legalize parenting? Why not take tests BEFORE you get preggers so you have a license to be a parent?

Test your mind to see if it functions normally. Test your body to see if it is healthy enough to bear a child or provide the sperm without having it be born diseased or infirm or addicted. Test the character of the person by giving more tests and talking to those who know them and can attest to their moral character and track record.
Being a parent is the MOST IMPORTANT JOB you will ever have and quite likely the one for which you are least prepared. How is that FAIR to your future child? It ain't. Any animals can copulate and have babies. It is not anything that is extraordinarily difficult to do.
So whatcha think? Just let lying dogs alone to do their thing and have the kids who are born be victims of Russian Roulette? Some of them will turn out okay because their parents are fortunately okay while others of them get a bum rap while in utero and never get unbummed?
