No, he doesn't care about the games themselves, It's a way to connect with his base and a photo op. I want to see him show up at the ballet or some other cultural endeavor. With all the museums in New York City, how many of them has he visited?

Seems to me as if a motorcade like JFK had in Dallas is just like a rally - cheering crowd and all that. Obviously that one didn't end well and subsequent presidents understandably haven't done similar things just as Secret Service protection and security have improved. Today's Democratic and Republican national conventions also are basically rallies for the winning candidate.
You keep bringing up JFK. Why? He is not remotely comparable to the mouth in any way. Yet here you are harping on him. I don't get it. Thank you for your reply.

I believe it was comparable. It was a campaign appearance event with cheering crowds et al a year before the next election. It was designed for people to see and cheer for him and garner more votes in Texas. I'm surprised you don't see the connection in the nature of the events without comparing JFK to Trump.
As I said before he can read the dictionary the phone book obituaries stock market numbers insurance policies. His peeps don't give a rat's what he says. They believe every word all the time.
