A lawyer is an OFFICER OF THE COURT. As such is he/hier FIRST OBLIGATION to the court or to the client?

Aren't lawyers supposed to report any lies to the court/judge? If his client lies does the lawyer officer of the court report that lie or let it slide on by in which case isn't he lying to the court as well?
