I wonder how the honorable Republicans who told Nixon he had to resign would react to the so-called "republicans" of today?

There are no honorable REPUBLICANS left who still call themselves Republicans today. They fled what is now a trash heap which is what the mouth has done to their once-honorable GOP. What's left are the dregs that have nowhere to go so they stay and rant and rave and tantrum and hissyfit and lie and attack and deny for the mouth.

A portrait in black. A wreath for the dead.

You mean John Dean?  He is front and center on CNN and MSNBC talking about all the reasons Trump is going to get his A$$ handed to him during the Impeachment trials.  No matter what the Senate and the liars say.

You can try to put lipstick on a PIG but when that pig starts breaking laws that affect the security of this COUNTRY?  That is putting lipstick on a TREASONOUS INSANE PIG and lipstick will not cover a thing.

Even with lipstick, Trump is still a pig...

No Sharon I don't. I mean the Republicans who confronted Nixon in his office and told him he had to resign or he would be impeached. They forced his hand and literally ORDERED HIM to resign. John Dean was part of the dirt that went on. He was caught and so he rolled over. There is no distinction in that for me. Better he should not have participated in the first place and blown the whistle while it was going on. He got caught. He blinked. Just like I don't admire any of the others who participated. When caught they're telling the truth to make things easier on themselves. Not because they are patriots. I don't admire John Dean at all. Too little too late. Thank you for your reply! :) This post was edited by RosieG at November 11, 2019 7:14 AM MST
