At first I laughed at your reply and then I thought "dagnabbit aren't lawyers supposed to seek justice based on truth and fairness?" What else is the job of a lawyer who is ethical honorable moral and wants right to happen not wrong? There have gotta be a few among the bazillions of everyone elses. Atticus Finch? Gregory Peck? For politicians I would say "Mr. Smith? James Stewart? There's gotta be a pony in there somewhere, right? Thank you for your reply Shuhak! :)
You cite fiction (books, movies). Technically, they should seek for justice and truth. However justice in this county isn't real anymore. LAwyers in this country fight to get their clients "freed" even if their client DID commit the crime. "Your honor, while my client did kill 25 people on July 24, it wasn't his fault as the moons of Saturn were in conjunction that day. The resulting magnetic and gravitational undulations reacted negatively on his brain, forcing him to react in the way he did". Justice In this country is a joke. The innocent are made to suffer while the guilty go free (technicalities?) Money buys "justice". Judges rule in ways that benefit themselves or their "political parties".
I cite fiction because they are finite. I cannot cite any real lawyer or real politician of whom I can be CERTAIN that they are always ethical moral truthful and fight for the best interests of the people. Can you? I agree with you now that dementia don has corrupted everything he touches. But before? Before courts were larded with extreme right-wing white nationalist populist isolationist racists justice did get served more often than now. Even now though IN SPITE OF DIMWIT DEMENTIA DON you will see a glimmer of justice. The dementia don cabal et al get smacked down on their a**es more often than not. Have you noticed how unwell his power is working for him? Of course he will take out contracts on thoes who disobey him but until then we have hope. Thank you for your reply Shuhak!
