We have ROAD MAP ATLASES and THOMAS GUIDES covering the geographical location of places on earth. Are there such things for the sky?

Are there maps that give you sky directions about how to get to where you wanna go from where you are? Distances and length of time to get you there and alternate ways depending on if you want to avoid freeways (skyways?).

    Not for travel directions but for locating stars, constellations, planets, universes from earth with the eye or a telescope.
