Many folks do most of their living online including getting news. They do not subscribe to newspapers/magazines. Do you too?

They buy online, sell online, do financial transactions on line so they don't ever again have to stand in line.

A sedentary life was had by all. What happens to legs that are not used? We know brains turn to stone from disuse. Legs too?

I have to admit that I do a lot of things on line because I hate waiting on line at the bank and in stores.  I do, however, do my food shopping in person and I do read the newspaper every day and I get the New York Times on Sunday.  I get some news on line, some from the newspaper and some from TV news.

That's my girl! If I were a shut-in then ordering groceries to be delivered would absolutely be a godsend. But as you know my happy place is either in my kitchen or at the grocery store. I like to turn the pages and the feel of a book in my hands. My newspaper has drastically shrunk in size but I cannot ever see giving up its delivery. It's sad that we've lost what we had. Leisurely hours at bookstores investigating different books. Spending hours at the library going up and down the aisles in our favorite sections and coming home with the maximum amount of books each time. Gone with the wind as it were. The New York Times Sunday edition is HUGE. Do you do the infamously difficult puzzle? Hats off to you if you do! Thank you for your reply L and Happy Wednesday! :)

Yes, the ability to have groceries delivered is a Godsend for some, but as long as I'm able to get to the store, I prefer to do my own shopping.  The Sunday Times is huge and I don't read half of it - the travel section and sports plus some others that don't really interest me.  I try the Sunday puzzle, but most of the time, I'm lucky if I get 10% of it.  Every once in a while, I can do half and ONCE I did the entire puzzle.

Um... yes.  To me magazines are worthless.  Just a booklet of glorified ads.  I still subscribe to the local paper, but I'm probably going to drop it next renewal date.  Not only is their news is at least 2 days old, but it's the same ews that was on Facebook... true or not.
I do some purchasing online, but only because  the product I want isn't available around here (not that many stores), and I sure ain't driving down to the Valley.

Thank you for your reply Shuhak.

No!  I  mainly go there to talk to my friend in Poland.  I also check out the local emergencies page (road closures, fires, downed power lines), although it's mostly filled with rude, snarky comments.
