Anyone out there not understand the difference between being a bully and being strong? Why?

Oh, I understand it all right...

A bully loves to kick people when they are down, whereas a strong person would pick them up.
A bully will gloat even at the slightest hint of success, whereas a strong person simply accepts it and moves on to the next challenge.

Being a bully means that you’re picking on someone because you want attention. You feel that being “popular” or having status will bring you friends.
Being strong means to get back up after someone has punched you with an insult or humiliated you. You keep going without trying to use someone’s weakness against them.

Robert Heinlein summed it up when someone insults or humiliates you: "When the fox gnaws...smile." It confuses them.

Thank you for a very thoughtful reply Shuhak. Aren't bullies really scairdy cats within and the bully pretense is to hide the fact that they are always terrified at being found out? When challenged or confronted they back down? :)

Someone who is strong does not ever need to bully anyone.

If the bully doesn't sneak away first. They are always terrified others will see how very scairdy cat they are within and when challenged always back away back down. Thank you for your reply E.
