That is tooo funny! It's a normal practice in my family to have ham on Easter and turkey on Thanksgiving. ;) 20# is a big bird! You must have a large family or love leftovers. I happen to like leftovers. It saves on buying lunch meat for a couple weeks.
We have 8 adults and 2 young kids. Yes we like leftovers. We eat leftovers for about 3 days. Then I will make a dish using the leftover turkey. (Turkey pot pie, turkey and noodles)
Good choice! If you go frozen, go Marie Calendar! I've had the opportunity to try many of the frozen pot pies offered on the market today. Marie's is by far the best. I've never had her vegetable pot pie before, either. I'll put it on my list and check it out, too. We can see how she rocks on the veggie version!
It is quite easy. Get you frozen pie crust (let them thaw). Cut up turkey leftovers, add veggies, mix with Campbell Cream of Chicken soup. Put frozen pie crust on top. Cook about 50min.

I had a feeling this question might take a turn in this direction. ;) :) No matter what you weigh, thank goodness you aren't sacrificing yourself for Christmas Dinner!
When my Grammie was still alive, we had prime rib or roast beef for Christmas Dinner. Since she isn't around any longer to entertain guests and the family with an elegant, sit down dinner, the meat choice has been up for negotiation. One year we couldn't come to an agreement on the beast. Instead of fighting or pouting or throwing any childish tantrums (which we all have been known to do from time to time,) we concluded that everyone could have what they wanted. We would collaborate on the side dishes. The men had steaks. Mom and I had fish, and my sister had squash soup. Grammie probably rolled over in her grave with the squash soup idea but it worked. Everyone was happy. The kitchen was a huge mess but we all pitched in and cleaned it no time. This year I think it is going to be, "The Christmas Crab." Only I get to vote!! Nooo. I'm not sure what we are having this year. Now that you mention it, I should call mom and find out what I can bring. :) :)

Ovens here are small so the American 20 pounder, 8-9 kilo birds would not fit. The French Turkeys we get are genrally around 13-14 pounds,5.5 - 6.4 kilos.
