He's as crooked as the other people trump hired (some of which are in jail).  They are all out for one thing - themselves.  They will say or do anything to further themselves - even at the cost of their "friends".  Welcome to the real america.  This Is how the well-to-do thrive.

My copy of TIME Magazine arrived yesterday Shuhak. The cover reads

'QUID PRO DOUGH How trump 2020 Profits From Impeachment"

I have not opened the magazine so I don't know what the article says. The front cover stopped me in my tracks and makes me wonder. We are told "cheaters never prosper". We experience that it is a baldfaced lie.
Where do we go from here and what do we do with that? Sigh. I wonder if all of his cabal will end up richer and happier than they ever would have been had there been no trump? Thank you for your thoughtful reply. Oy vey? Happy Friday to ya! :) This post was edited by RosieG at December 15, 2019 2:54 AM MST

We are told that cheaters never win/prosper (usually by our parents when were young) in an effort to discourage us from cheating.  However, in reality that’s not how it seems to work.  The wealthy and powerful obtain/maintain their wealth and power by lying and cheating.  In an effort to justify or mask their actions (from others and even themselves), they use more benign words for their actions such as - loopholes, charitable donations, investments, influential, humanitarian.

On occasions, cheaters get caught.  Then they have to lie and cheat more in an effort to try to weasel out of their predicament, lest they loose some of their prestige.  Many of them spend a great deal of their wealth trying to avoid being caught or paying up when they are caught.

On the outside, it may look like cheaters win/prosper, but there is a cost.  As honest people, we know this.  That’s why we continue to tell our children “cheaters never win/prosper”.

I wonder what the odds are that children of cheaters will cheat? Probably very high. Thank you for your thoughtful reply! :)

Children tend to copy what they see others doing.  If parents (or friends, teachers, relatives, etc.) cheat and "get away with it", why wouldn't the children cheat as well?  As the kids get older they may see that it's wrong, but then again...
