Fun?  Hmmm... not a word I'd associate with being smart or dumb.  It's said that "learning can be fun', but it's also said that 'ignorance is bliss'.
Personally, I find knowing things enjoyable.  Not at to be a know-it-all, but just to know.  If I come across something I don't know and want to, I will seek out answers.  Not knowing something bugs the heck out of me.  Knowing too much can cause others to use you (why should they bother learning when you can do it for them).

Of course you pays your money and makes your choice. Right? Some smart is lots of fun. You 'get' subtle and implied and don't have to have all the t's crossed or i's dotted. Like a secret society or a language spoken by the few. On the other hand some smart is very painful and sometimes dumb is kinder gentler and easier to experience. I'll tell you this Shuhak. I'm smarter than average but far from a genius  and I would like to be smart about things that do not hurt me and very dumb about things that will or do. Cowardly to be sure but there you have it! Thank you for your reply m'dear! :) This post was edited by RosieG at December 16, 2019 9:38 AM MST
