What's the BEST and LARGEST Farmer's Market you've ever visited?

Wouldja like to visit one that carried everything that grows anywhere in the world...all varieties there of? Would it take a continent to accommodate it? How many would that be? Trillions?

    If farmers' markets are your thing, then you should visit the Granville Island Public Market in Vancouver, British Columbia.

    Another fun and interesting one is the Portland Saturday Market, which is less food-centric and more of a showcase for locally-made products of all sorts (arts, crafts, agricultural products, etc.)

    I KNOW I would but that would involve either a very long drive in a car or schlepping to an airport and all that involves. Next lifetime for sure! Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday! :)

    In northern California Shuhak?I could enjoy visiting Farmer's Markets daily all over the world I'm sure. I'm a very happy camper when I'm surrounded by food! Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday! :)

    It's down in Roseville.  These days it's just a flea market (park a car or truck on a 20'x20' space and sell whatever you want).  BUt back then it was a big farmers market.  Today there are a few here locally (late June thru early-september) - grocery store parking lot, mining museum - however, they're rather small.  We also have a few fruit stands.  Some are folks who've driven up from the Central Valley to sell their wares, some are from local farms/orchards.  Some folks even set their excess produce in front of their houses with a free sign on them.

    FREE? Wow! That is very cool. Locally many years ago there'd be stands most of which had attendants. But occasionally they'd sell just one thing like oranges and it was per orange so they'd have a cigar box there and however many oranges you took you'd put the proper amount in the box. They had a stack of bags there. At the time I didn't think anything of it. We'd stop. Select. Bag. Pay. Then we'd be on our way. No big deal. TODAY? Someone would take everything including the cigar box and bags. SIGH. I doubt I am dramatizing it. Double sigh. Thank you for your informative reply Shuhak! :)
