Pence says Trump has given "tens of millions of dollars to charities". There is actually a reporter who is tracking that and has only come up with a $10,000 donation. Has Pence been Powellized?

Colin Powell was told there was proof of the existence of weapons of mass destruction so he went out and lied to the American public and everyone else. Has Pence been similarly ill-informed as well? Do we blame him for saying things that are untrue if HE believes they are? Would he make a good veep or a better lapdog? Why?
