Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Who'd bother inventing drugs if there were no money to be made doing so? Take away that carrot and what would happen?
Well, it would obviously hurt the profits and dividends, but unfortunately it would also stop anyone from developing new drugs.
Certainly not in any commercial establishment - the work would have to be paid for from public funds (taxes) and carried out in university and Civil Service laboratories.
So the drugs would still cost money, but they might be cheaper!
Canada is able to provide the same drugs that America does only they are far less costly. Now we know they are making a profit. They just are not the gougers Americans are. The bullsh** they hand us is that they have to recoup all the money they spent on R and D. Right. Sheesh. Thank you for your reply Durdle and Happy Friday to thee! :)
