Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» I have observed as I age that some people treat the very young and very old alike. In a somewhat patronizing manner. Why is that I wonder?
The elderly are treated that way because they are deemed to have forgotten what they know and the young are treated that way because they are too young to have learned much of value.
Without testing or engaging or being given the benefit of the doubt the haughty ignoramuses DEEM such and such is true and thus that is their truth? I see. How convenient. Thank you for your reply L and Happy Sunday! :)
Yes, they pre-judge the elderly and the young. Greta Thunberg is a perfecrt example. People don't take her seriously because of her age - nevermind the fact that what she is saying about climate change is fact. Nevermind that her accusations that no country is seriously doing any thing about it - to the detriment of humanity if it keeps up. Personally, I find her a but off-putting because I don't like her in-your-face presentations, but her cause is just.
