No.  In fact, if the weather were equalized life couldn't exist.  Is our dynamic atmosphere that keeps life going on this small rock in space.

Fruit trees require freezing temperatures as well as warm temperatures to properly flower and bear fruit.  An equalized weather world would mean many fruits wouldn't exist.  Some animals and insects thrive in extreme heat or cold.  Equalize the weather and they would become extinct.

VASS ISS DISS? "Fruit trees require freezing temperature...."? They used to put out smudge pots in groves to mitigate freezing temperatures Shuhak. So I am confused. Freezing fruit is "essential"? Doesn't a freeze ruin growing things? I know you're the expert here since you have fruit trees on your land but seriously is that true for ALL fruit trees? I think the smudge pots were used in avocado groves/orchards but I'm not sure. I haven't heard about them in years so I don't even know if they are still used. Thank you for your reply. I know "they" have discovered life in extremely hot environments and extremely cold. But wouldn't life exist more easily in moderate temperatures? More comfy? Thank you for your reply! :) This post was edited by RosieG at January 19, 2020 10:00 AM MST

Fruit trees such as citrus and avocado don't tolerate very cold weather.  During hard freezes farmers use smudge pots, water, and such to help insulate the trees against the cold.  However, trees such as cherry, apple, peach  need a certain amount of "chilling" temperatures in order to get good flowering and set fruit.  Even so, it can get too cold for them as well.  My rainier cherry tree was heavily damaged one year after a hard freeze during blooming time.  90% of that season's fruit was lost along with 20% of the tree.

Life is very adaptable.  However, much like certain trees need fire in order for their seeds to sprout, some animals and insects need extremes to survive.
