Because hearing himself talk is his favorite thing and so he can go non-stop spouting claptrap gibberish 24/7 and he is in heaven. It don't matter no way no how to his adoring worshippers. Every word that drips from his lips is golden no matter the content or lack thereof.

    Yes!  Yes!  On the rare occasions he stays pon script, he has to wander off script because he loves the sound of his own voice.  He thinks he's the most intelligent person on the planet.  Everyone else should bow before him and kiss his feet ... and he can't understand why they don't.
