What are the mechanics/logistics of pulling out of deals/agreements with foreign governments to avoid conflict of interest? Can you just break an agreement because you want to do so? Is that legal?

Apparently Trump's businesses include investments in and partnerships with many foreign  companies and governments. How will they react when Trump withdraws from all partnerships/agreements/deals to avoid the appearance of conflict of interest? Is that even possible? How?
