USAF retired 4-star General Michael Hayden says Trump is being used as a recruiting sergeant for ISIS. Agree/dis/why?

It's easy to see how, given the likely lack of sophistication the audience will have.

'Look at what they say.  They hate you.  They speak of banning you, of banning your families.  They do not want you.'

That's basic propaganda 101 and it gives a nice lead in to other information (true or false, doesn't matter).  'They want to keep you poor.  They want to keep you here.  And while you're here, they want to bomb you, to kill you.'

Trump's nonsense is not a direct appeal to join the 'Armies of God', but it doesn't help people to think of reasons why they shouldn't.

So what. Former president Bill Clinton also stars in ISIS propaganda. I suspect ISIS has more to fear from Trump than Hillary.

And what do you think campaign ads are? Nothing more than propaganda filled with half-truths and/or outright lies, often playing on the fears of voters, in order to secure votes.

Trump is aiding the enemy in spreading Islamophobia, which scares young people into joining ISIS. Hillary accused Trump of treason for this.

 We have our own home-grown terrorist/saboteur in our midst  MrWitch. I don't have to name names. You know of what/whom I speak. He works out in the open and attracts people who used to be reviled and are now embraced/accepted/tolerated. Racists and bigots and hatemongers and homophobes and nationalists and white supremacists. Not exactly our best and brightest but there are so many more of them than I thought there were. It is a very sobering time in America. The realilation of what is going on and there seems to be no way to stop it. He does not hide what he is doing/saying. He is proud of it. I never thought a day like this would come in the United States of America. Never. Ever. But such a day is here. Thank you for your reply! :)

I don't know if the specific claim is true but...I was listening to an author on NPR recently who pointed out that the net result of the US "War on Terror" since 2001 is to take Islamic terrorism from being largely the work of Al-Queda (which was about 1000 members mostly in Afghanistan) to being the work of multiple Al-Queda/ISIS organizations in multiple countries in the Middle East/Africa, totalling on the order of 50,000 members.

Clearly ***something*** the US is doing to stamp out terrorism is NOT working.
