Anyone who constantly DEMANDS being noticed being loved being approved of being valued is needy for validation which is the exact opposite of being confident.
Anyone who when criticized attacks viciously and doubles down lacks confidence absolutely.
A confident person can take being criticized. It doesn't do anything to him/her except inform him/her of someone's opinion. So what? We all have likes/dislikes. We all have opinions. We don't agree on everything all the time. Our tastes are different. Our values are different. Our experiences are different. Our intellectual acuity differs. Of course we aren't going to agree. That is a given. But to go after and obsess about those whose cuppa tea you aren't is crackpot wackadoodle insane. Like someone we know whose initials are dumb don.
He is so needy he bleeds need. He is so filled with holes that no matter how much LOVE and APPROVAL and SUPPORT (fake or otherwise) he gets IT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH BECAUSE IT KEEPS LEAKING OUT OF ALL THOSE HOLES he has in him.
The antithesis of confident is dumb don. Weak frightened suspicious ignorant. All the time. That's what ya get folks for makin' whoopee!
