In 1623 John Donne wrote his Meditation 17. A poem about the absurd idea of ISOLATIONISM. Appropos for today wouldn't you say?

It is not a very long poem. Excerpts therefrom

"Any man's death diminishes me because I am involved in Mankind therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee."

"No man is an island entire of itself"

Shoots to he** and back the populism nationalism isolationism bullsh** being promulgated today that Donne stated in a very poetic way. 400 years ago plus and here we are today still thinking Isolationism nationalism populism is the only way to live a life. What a crock! See how well it's working? Might you want to rethink it or is that just too much trouble for your pretty/handsome little head? You love to let the "powers that be" do all your thinking so you can concentrate on the important stuff like well what you think is importanter.
