    No, Trump is a bully and, like most bullies, he only attacks when his victim cannot fight back.

    Were Trump to do something besides spewing angry Tweets at senators, it would give them political cover to either impeach Trump or call for his removal under the 25th Amendment.

    Currently, many Senators loathe Trump and would prefer he were gone, but they are afraid of the political backlash from the MAGAt base who make up the bulk of GOP voters (esp. GOP primary voters). 

    If Trump pushes too hard, at least some of them will calculate that they can go back to their supporters and say "Look, he went too far. I had to put a stop to it," while retaining a decent chance of being reelected.

    MAGAt base/MAGOt base. What's the diff? Or is that the point SP? There is no difference between the MAGATS and the MAGGOTS. 75% of the American people WANT the Senate to include documents and witnesses.     Yes. They did. No much compared to Hillary. But Yes. The gave Hillary $8000+ and Bernie $1500+. They even gave Trump $4000. This was in 2016.

    In fact this cycle. Trump has recived $1500. Yang, and Mayor Pete each $2400 and Sanders $2200.
