I've read that from a very early age members of the LGBTQ community KNOW they are different. Is that ever a phase they pass through?

If they wait will they get to the place where they are "straight"? Is it merely a timing thing they will "get over"?

I cannot imagine the hurt it would be if I were a "female" stuck in the body of a male or the opposite. That would be living a lie for appearance sake when everything about me would be feeling thinking otherwise.

I don't know if any of you could put yourself in that situation but at the very least it's living a lie and most people are not comfortable with that I hope.

I had a boyfriend who was gay.  (long story, we loved each other)   Anyway, he told me from around 9 or 10 he knew he was gay.  He dressed Barbie dolls.  You know?  Telling signs.

Did his family accept the person he was Sharon or did they reject him? He was lucky to have you in his life. Thank you for your reply! :)
