Yeah, it petered out at #48 in the US.
It went higher than that in the UK, but #21 was still paltry for a Rolling Stones single. It didn't even come out as a single in the UK until 1971, it had been planned for 1968 release as a follow-up to "Jumpin' Jack Flash" but for some reason its original UK release was cancelled. Had it been released as a single in the UK in 1968, before the album, it would surely have been a smash.
