This song suits his voice so perfectly that he could almost have written it himself. The song's writers (Aaron Schroeder and Wally Gold) surely must have written it with Elvis in mind. Schroeder had already co-written "Stuck On You" with Les McFarland and that song also sounded as though it was written especially for Elvis. While Elvis often recorded diverse material, certain songs sound like they were written especially for him and "Good Luck Charm" is one such song.
