Johnny and the Hurricanes' first hit, and one of their biggest, is one of my all-time favourite instrumentals. If I had been alive as far back as 1959 it would have been a hot contender for my favourite single of the year. It still sounds great today.
This peaked at #5 and was easily their biggest hit. They were from Toledo, Ohio.
It got to number 3 in the UK and so did "Rocking Goose". That was the highest they ever got here.
