Here's some more good no-nonsense hard rockin' from the band who brought us "Can't Get Enough". This song is the opening track (and first single) on their second album "Straight Shooter".
This was only a minor hit in the US, I always liked just about anything sung by Paul Rodgers.
It didn't exactly excel itself in the UK either (#31 was the best it could manage), but the album did a lot better (number 3, in fact). The band only had three Top 40 singles in the UK (the biggest one peaking at #15), while they had six Top 20 albums, the first two peaking at #3, so they were clearly an albums band far more than a singles band. Yes, Paul Rodgers is a great singer and his voice suits Bad Company perfectly, just as much as it suited Free before them.
Song hit #36 in the US. The album also hit #3 in the USA !
