Another Elvis cover from the 1970s, this was Mud's last single release on RAK records before they went over to Private Stock. It did not match the soaring success of their cover of Buddy Holly's "Oh Boy" (which outsold the original version in the UK) a few months earlier, but nevertheless it's a decent cover of a good song.
Here's the best cover I've heard of that song, and it's by a woman.
And here is the original version, recorded by Smiley Lewis. Elvis' was a sanitized version.
Well, what do you know? A female Elvis! And she's pretty good, too. :)
I bet that version was censored by religious nuts because of the word "sin". Lol:)
