No matter what you say they will always ONE-UP you. Like old people talking about their aches and pains. "You think that was bad? Let me tell about bad!" Then they are off and running which niftily puts the reins of the conversation in their hands. Odd strange befuddling annoying. Know any one-uppers? Do you retaliate by two-upping their one-upping?
